Bees ' n ' Bugs in the garden

With a few Buddleia trees flowering in the garden and teeming with Bees, I had to get close-up with a special macro lens to capture the beautiful detail in their wings and bodies.

Steven and Kayleigh

Steven and Kayleigh are engaged and we got some great weather. Stevens brother, sister, mum and dad also joined-in. As did the family pooch Rio who didn’t like getting his picture taken, perhaps because the deaf Photographer kept calling him Leo !

Carrie and John - sunshine inside, a storm outside

A fantastic day last month for Carrie and John's Wedding at Dollar Parish Church.

In spite of the torrential rain it was a very happy day and the Speeches warmed everyone up nicely !
Many thanks for an enjoyable day and the best of luck to the both of you in the future.

New Andy Scott sculpture flexes his wings

Since the new sculpture from Andy is installed at Muirside roundabout, time to grab a few shots of this magnificent piece. 'He' shares many aspects of River Spirit such as steel galvanised construction, tree-like branch hands, but this time the theme is different. This is not a static figurine around which we travel, but a dynamic figure seemingly to grow from the grass, with arms outstretched to the sky. Nice touches are the swallow shapes adding to the sense of movement and air.

For someone who never thought twice about Public Art, these two figures have really caught my camera eye. Enjoy the images and feel free to add comments.
