More springtime in Stirling.

I took this city photography in and around Scotland, but there are a few from cities beyond. They are good for exploring architecture and textures, trying to knit a view of interest while excluding extraneous detail. Random things happen in cities.

The games came to Glasgow and as with every festival and event the city put on its best party dress which made a memorable visit. (more…)
A quick walk up the Ochils that overlook Stirling. Well worth the time spent to get there and rewards the mild effort with great views from the Forth bridges (soon to be a trio) in the east to Ben Lomond in the west. The Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle were built upon “crag and tails” for strategic reasons. (more…)
You have to hand it to Glasgow City Council, Scottish Government and generous benefactors to have this treasure trove of art open to all, without cost. Museums and galleries can create key moments for visiting children. Such moments can later inspire decisions based on that early childhood visit. (more…)
Another sequence of Pacific Quay on the Clyde, Glasgow this time shot using a very wide 12mm lens. This allows much more dramatic perspective and a fresh approach to anything with height eg. buildings. The first two photographs are reflections I noticed on the BIPP building’s glass windows.
