    The Wallace Monument

The Wallace Monument was built by my wife’s father, as I explained to my children when they were young. You could tell because if you looked closely you could see he ‘missed a bit’! Capturing the brickwork means an early start for sunrise, but worth it.

  • East Fortune Air Show

I recall clearly as a child frequent visits to the annual Prestwick Air Show. A boy’s delight with guns and bombs and raucous jets screaming overhead. I also recall frequent visits to Glasgow Airport to see all the Concordes assembled on the runway. With one of the Test Pilots as a distant relation the sheer joy of flying machines and Concorde in particular created a wee soft spot. This group is from the East Fortune Air Show in July 2006.
